Spectacular Australian Black Opals.
I cut and carve Australian Opal, I love watching Nature's color appearing from the stone as I work with it.
Now, in my opinion (and yes everone has their own so you may not agree with me), black opal and diamond jewelry is just absolutely beautiful. The most spectacular pieces I've seen rival anything.

This gem is what keeps a miner going! I was looking through a large pile of Lightning Ridge potch and color, mind you I've been through this lot many times, when a flash of red caught my eye, I was straight to the bench, carved away the stone and there it was - spectacular colors - red, blue orange, green with deep black back-round.
